Flashpaper · for Windows

Write your paper. Get publication-quality LaTeX.

Flashpaper is a visual editor for academic papers. Pick IEEE, ACM, Springer, Elsevier, NeurIPS or any of 88 styles and the PDF beside your text re-typesets in that style — without you ever seeing or writing code. Think Overleaf, but as easy as Word, and everything stays on your computer.

How it works

Your text is the source. LaTeX is the output.

FlashPaper keeps a structured document and compiles it to LaTeX through the template you choose. LaTeX is never parsed back, which is what keeps what-you-see reliable.

  1. 01

    Write

Type in a page-like editor. Add authors, an abstract, figures, tables, charts and equations without touching code.

  2. 02

    Pick a style

Choose a journal or conference from the gallery. The PDF beside your text re-typesets instantly; your words never change.

  3. 03

    Export

Take a PDF, a LaTeX project that compiles on Overleaf, or Markdown — saved to your Downloads folder.

Everything a paper needs

Figures, tables, charts, equations — formatted for the venue

Each template typesets them the way its journal wants, including two-column layouts and live cross-references.

Your venue is probably already in the gallery

Official styles use the publisher's own LaTeX class. Look-alikes reproduce a venue's layout where the official files can't be redistributed — fine for drafting, then use the venue's kit for the final submission.

Private by design

No account and no cloud. Each paper is a folder on your disk, and FlashPaper only goes online once, to fetch the LaTeX packages for your first build.
