Flashpaper for Windows

The Windows installer isn't published yet. Check back soon.

Install in four steps

  1. 01

    Download

Get the .msi above (or the .exe if you prefer a setup wizard).

  2. 02

    Run the installer

If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info, then Run anyway. This appears because the installer isn't code-signed yet — verify the checksum below if you want to be sure it's the file we published.

  3. 03

    Open FlashPaper

Start it from the Start menu, then create a paper with New paper or Ctrl + N.

  4. 04

    Let the first build finish

The first PDF build downloads the LaTeX packages it needs, so connect to the internet once. Each new template's packages are fetched the first time you use it; after that builds work offline.

Verify your download

Each installer has a published SHA-256 checksum. After downloading, run this in PowerShell from your Downloads folder and compare the result with the hash below.

Troubleshooting

The first PDF build never finishes

The first build needs an internet connection to download LaTeX packages. Check your connection (and any firewall or proxy), then edit the paper or press Ctrl + S to rebuild.

Windows blocked the installer

SmartScreen warns about apps without a code-signing certificate. Choose More info → Run anyway after checking the SHA-256 checksum above.
